Tell Your Story!

The Michigan Commander’s Group is working with The Grunt Style Foundation, in partnership with Mad in America, to help veterans and their families tell their stories and experiences in America’s mental health system and at the Veterans Health Administration, nationwide.

Based on the known risk factors of many psychiatric medications and knowing that 68% of veterans treated at the VA are prescribed psychiatric drugs, and 28% are prescribed antidepressants, in addition to high prescription rates in the community setting as well, we should not be surprised to find that veterans have the highest rate of suicide than any other demographic in the United States today.

This is why the Michigan Commander’s Group needs to hear your story. If you feel you have been overprescribed medications or have a story like Diana, or Jeri and her son Cody, please fill out the form at the link below. These stories have helped so many people already, and yours may help someone you know who might be struggling, but you didn’t even know.
