Green Alerts for Veterans and Service Members at Risk
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________“Green” Alerts for Veterans and Service Members at Risk: Require the Michigan State Police and other Law Enforcement agencies to spread the word through the use of existing network that a Veteran or Military Member is missing, to put the public on notice to be on the lookout for said person.
Veterans and active duty Service Members have a suicide rate higher than the general non-veteran population. The “Green” alert would complement the current Amber alert and Silver alert system in Michigan.
