Expand the number of Veterans Treatment Courts in Michigan
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________Veterans Treatment Courts: Sustain and expand the operations of Veteran Treatment Courts in order to address behaviors & consequences resulting from PTSD and/or other service connected disabilities.
Assess the current court operations with an eye toward using best practices to expand to areas not yet served.
Amend MCL 600.1200 to include as class of persons eligible for services from a Veterans Treatment Court in the State of Michigan, members who have served at least two years and former members who served at least six years and were released under honorable conditions, of:
- the Michigan Army National Guard,
- the Michigan Air National Guard,
- a reserve component of any branch of the US uniformed military services.
