Legislative Priorities
The Michigan Commanders Group believes that these are some of the most important Federal and State of Michigan issues facing Michigan Veterans and their dependents. For additional information and to possibly email your support to your State of Michigan and Federal Congress legislators, click on one of the following descriptions.

* Reduce Veteran Suicides and other harm resulting from the overprescribing of psychotropic medications and failures to provide informed consent to patients
* Reduce Veteran Suicides by supporting the utilization of evidence – based alternative therapy programs; Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) has been proven to heal Brain Wounds (e.g. Post Traumatic Stress disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and many other conditions
* Stop "Claims Sharks" from taking advantage of veterans
* Add a Veterans Cemetery in the Upper Peninsula
* Expand the number of Michigan Veterans Homes
